Prevent Teen Smoking by Talking to Your Teen

Thursday October 26, 2006
According to statistics from the American Lung Association®, each day nearly 6,000 children under 18 years of age start smoking; of these, nearly 2,000 will become regular smokers. It is also true that adolescents who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes in their lifetime, most of them report that they would like to quit, but are not able to do so. Teens who have parents that are involved and talk to them are less likely to start smoking.

Have you talked to your teen about smoking?
