Three Cheers for Google

Monday January 15, 2007
Being someone who has been a writer on the internet for close to 10 years, I am an admirer of all things Net geeky. Therefore, I make it a point to check Google for its holiday logos. Today’s brought tears to my eyes. It is a picture of four preteen girls playing Double Dutch, all of the girls have a different ethnic backgrounds. I think this speaks to how our children and their children will slowly fix our racial problems. At least I pray they do. If you want to see the logo, it’s on the front page today. Tomorrow, I expect it will be on their holiday logo page.

Thanks for pointing that out, Denise! I didn’t even notice the different races, which of course is what makes it appropriate for today. I just thought the designer had been trapped at home for the weekend with a teen daughter watching the new Disney channel jumprope movie “Jump In” all 327 times it came on, like me. :)

LOL Terri. I did wonder how many times the artist watched that movie this weekend.
