I think all these tips are great. I also found that online college searches saved us a lot of time when we were helping our child choose a college. You can go online, answer a few questions, and the sites will tell you which colleges meet your needs. I found petersons.com, myusearch.com and collegeboard.org to be the most helpful. I would recommend trying at least two and comparing the answers.
