Another reason to serve a good breakfast to your teen…

Friday January 2, 2009
Actually, if it is at all possible to use this study’s results in a practical sense, it may become the number one reason parents serve their teens a good breakfast! It seems a Japanese study of 3000 people revealed that ‘people in their early teens who regularly skipped breakfast lost their virginity at an average age of 17.5 years old, versus an average age of 19 for breakfast eaters.’

Hmmm… could it really be that easy? What do you think? Let’s hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments area.

That’s thought provoking, but I suppose it makes sense. When you eat a healthy breakfast you make better decisions.

I think there is more to it then just breakfast. I think parents who take the time to make sure the kids eat breakfast tend to be more involved parents generally? I mean just not eating breakfast cuasing earlier virginity loss sounds like a study that is lacking.

Has to be other factors involved?

Ifeating breakfast should prolong virginity, then parents should do more than preparing the breakfast, but ensure that the teens eat well. Also i believe that having enough rest is recipe for lasting virginity.

I highly doubt this makes a shred of difference! I have made sure my two teenage kids have had a very healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner for their entire lives. They also both still go to bed before ten and get up after six, even though that is not what the other kids do. We feel like we are constantly trying to talk to the older one about what is going on with his girlfriend, and even though he won’t come right out and tell us, we think he has recently had some experience or will be very soon. He’s only 15. Oh, and my mother always fed us a good breakfast, and we were always in bed by a decent hour…I was 17 and my younger sister was 15 and my older brother was probably around 15 or 16.
I did find the thought amusing, though.
