I really like talking with my teens. I love hearing how they view the world around them, listening to their dreams and I enjoy their stories. To me, it is as fulfilling as it was when I heard them utter 'mama' for the first time. And it happens as often as we want... everyday if we can manage it. Talking to each other just for the sake of talking to each other. That is what helps us keep our open communication when the conversations get a little tough. What helps you?
