Kids and teens like to look at sale items - even when they are in the grocery flier. This is especially true if they get to pick out something to buy. A savvy parent will use this information to maximize their food bill savings by using the weekly store savings to purchase this week's meals. Using the flier, have your kids and teens choose which breakfast cereal, after school snacks or dinner ideas they are interested in for the week. This weekly family habit will not only save you a few dollars but it's a nice break from making all of the food decisions.
