Absolutely worth reading at least once by every parent. Helps families by bringing the reader around to the reality of their need for their children to have a successful family in today’s world. Dr. Phil will help you take a good look at your own family and will put you on the path to a successful family with the all right tools. Sounds like hogwash, huh? The truth often does. You know I have to say that this book was amazing. Compared to my immigrant parents, its funny that I actually really rely on books like this to help me “parent” but it works! I would also highly recommend “Blast Off: Preparing your Child for College” for parents of teenagers. helped me understand what was going on my teen’s brain alot!
I will be honest and say that I’ve been thinking about purchasing this book but I never did. I think that after reading your review, I will pick it up this weekend. I like that you it has some practical, even-handed and sensible advice in there. What parent can’t use that.
