Every year I get news alerts about teens that don’t make it home from prom because of drinking and driving - or just drug use. It is always my saddest time of year when it should be such a happy time! I feel so deeply for those parents. So much so, when I saw this picture I thought it would convey the feeling to the community of parents we have here.

Prom was 2 weeks ago and a group of parents decided to rent a limo so, we didn’t have to worry about the driving. Nice picture.

I was the “mean” mom this year because “Mom, every one in my entire grade is going to so-and-sos house after the prom instead of the stupid post prom party” yet I insisted my junior either come home after the dance or go to the post prom party… I know one day he’lll understand!

my daughter is attending her boyfriend’s senior prom in two weeks. Exciting for them; worry-some for me. Hard to know, as the parent, what to allow. I trust both of them and want them to have a night to remember, but it also feels like I am some how letting go ……
