Bag of Ice

By Denise Witmer, About.com

Materials Needed:

  • plastic baggies
  • rock salt
  • baby oil
  • string
  • glue
  • Flat back pin
  • Tag

Directions:

  1. Mix rock salt with only a few drops of baby oil, do not use too much oil. This will make the salt clearer looking, like ice.
  2. Mark baggies with marker "ICE". Fill baggies with rock salt and tie at the top.
  3. Hot glue flat back pin on back.
  4. Add the tag to the pin.

Added Tips:

  1. All SWAPS that are going to be traded should have a tag with some information about the giver. First name, troop level and number, and state works well as a rememberence for the receiver and keeps safety issues in mind.
