User Submissions for the Parenting of Adolescents Site

As the Guide to Parenting of Adolescents here at About.com, I am very interested in all topics that have to deal with parenting our teens. Therefore, I accept guest submissions from doctors, counselors, parents and freelance writers for the expressed purpose of educating our visitors to the topics that concern raising teenagers.

While I reserve the right to accept or reject any article for any reason, here are the eight core reasons articles are rejected:

  1. If the article is promoting an illegal practice.
  2. If the article has no value other than promoting your website.
  3. If the article is poorly written.
  4. If the article is rhetoric or has any rants in it.
  5. If the article is not on a topic that concerns parenting in any way.
  6. If the article contains links to a website within the text.
  7. If the article is bias or prejudiced toward one set of people or religion. While faith and race can be important issues, this website is for people of all faiths and races.
  8. If an article is a repeat of an article already on this site, another About.com site or other site on the internet.

We receive a large volume of submissions, therefore there is no guarantee your content will be selected. If your material is selected, you will be notified by e-mail of the date and location where it will be used on this site.
