All around me is heartfelt sympathy. The mention of Littleton or Columbine High School brings teary eyes to us. And sad to say, there is a common bond because I am from Waterford, the original home of John Tomlin. His former neighbors, especially Matt Jung, are devastated. Although both my husband and I are retired teachers from the system, we didn't have the privilege to have John in our classes since he left for your area after fifth grade. Our hearts go out to everyone: teachers, students, and especially parents.

My deepest sympathy is with you. I can't imagine how you must feel. Our family is praying for you and your child.

It was so sad to hear of the horrible situation in Colorado. As a teacher, it deeply saddens me to know that children can change so quickly and hurt teachers and students that care so much about them. I am so sorry that you had to go through such a terrible ordeal. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My heart and prayers are with you. We try so hard to protect our children from the evil in this world and hope and pray that God is with them when we are not. For reasons unknown, the Lord calls some beautiful children home to be with him. I pray you find strength knowing that you will one day be re-united with your beautiful children. God Bless all of you.

I am truly saddened by the horrible events that have happened in your child's school. I am the proud new mother of a beautiful daughter who is only four months old. I know I have a few years before I have to decide, but my husband and I are seriously considering home schooling her. I hope that the recent tragedy will tighten security and make things better in our schools, but I only fear they are going to get worse. My thoughts and prayers are with you every day.

I can't begin to understand what you must feel. But as a mother, I know the loss must be great. I hope you can find comfort in the only real solution to the horrors of our society and that is God. I pray that he will give you strength through this very trying time. He truly understands the loss of an innocent child to the ravages of mankind. God be with you.

My condolances to the families of the victims. I have cried with you at your loss. I've felt the anger in my heart over this senseless killing of young lives.
I pray each night for the families of Columbine, that God's grace will be with you.
What more can I say? I and the nation mourn with you, but you who are the families can know the depth of your sorrow.
God Bless.

Although I personally do not know any of the victims, this tragedy has hit me hard. Words cannot express how I feel as this could have happened anywhere. All I can say is that I'm sorry for what has happened. I'm sorry for what the families of the victims and the victims themselves have gone through and will have to endure, the victims, which include the shooters. They are victims, too. Victims of a society which should have been able to help them. A society which created their mental problems. I don't condon or support what they did. It should have not gotten to the point that it did. Someone should have seen that something is wrong. How can these young people have made all these explosive devices without someone noticing something.
Please accept my condolences.
