My son, age 13, is really getting frustrated with some young ladies that think he's cute! LOL

Seriously, he is getting angry and wants me to tell then to stop calling, or that he's not allowed on the phone, or something. In other words he wants me to play the bad guy. I told him this isn't going to get them off his back, but he said he just wants them to 'STOP CALLING ME!'

Anyone have any ideas as to do something else about this? I'm willing to do it his way if I can't think of anything else, as I am tired of answering the phone all the time.

(I know that his reaction is going to be the opposite soon, probably right after I tell the girls they can't call anymore) - daveh

At 13 he may not be ready to solve this on his own, try telling the girls that he's just not interested in talking to them or that he's busy. if he's busy enough times, they should get the message. - BettyB

I had a mom of a boy in my daughters class call me once and ask that my daughter not call so much. I didn't even know she was calling at all. It seems her and her friends were calling him all the time! I put a stop to it, and let the girls know that calling boys to bug them wasn't to be done with my phone. They stopped. - BriAnn

Why don't you tell him to tell them that you don't want them calling. Maybe that will work, and he'll have to talk to them about it. That way he can't get back on you later, when he wants them to call. - parentingteens
