Baby Sitting Safety
<Yesterday's Tip>     <Archive of Tips>

Most times, a parent of young children will interview your teen before your teen baby sits for them. They will want to know if your child is capable of taking care of their children. It falls to us, as the baby sitter's parents, to ask: 'Is my child safe in their home?'

Develop a plan with your teenager before he/she does any babysitting. Ask them what they feel is an aceptable enviornment to babysit in. Drive them to the job at least once and meet their employers. Have your teen obtain information on the family such as where they work, phone numbers, etc., before they commit to doing the job.
