To make the basic knot:
- Hold string 2 firmly.
- Place string 1 over string 2, then under, then through.
- While still holding string 2 firmly, pull up on string 1 until the knot is snugly in place.
- REPEAT!
You will note in the picture that there is the right hand knot and the left hand knot. They will be denoted RHK and LHK respectively, in the friendship bracelet patterns.
