- 1/2 cup shortening
- Red unsweetened Kool-aid, until it is at the color you wish
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- Plastic bag
- Hot water in pot, tongs
Place shortening in the plastic bag and seal leaving the air out. Place bag in the hot water until shortening is melted. Fish bag out of the water with the tongs and add the Kool-aid and sugar. Mix well. Cut the corner of the plastic bags and pour into lip balm pots.
