Where should I report a college scholarship scam?

By Denise Witmer, About.com Guide

Question: Where should I report a college scholarship scam?
Answer: You can report college scholarship scams to the National Fraud Information Center. They will pass your report on to the appropriate authorities, including the Federal Trade Commission and your state’s Attorney General’s Office.

According to the National Fraud Information Center’s website, you can file a complaint online or by phone at 1-800-876-7060. They will be able to tell you if the company you are filing a complaint about has other complaints filed and whether or not there is an investigation in progress.
