Question: What should my teen look for in a college?
Answer: Your teen should be aware of their priorities when they begin to look for a college. Listing these on a piece of paper will help them keep the important stuff in mind while they look around. Here are a few suggested questions that will help your teen sort out their priorities:

  • Does the college offer the courses/major I want to take?
  • How much does the college cost?
  • Where is the college located?
  • Is there housing on campus?
  • Can your teen get a job on campus?
  • How many students attend the college?
  • What sports, clubs and extra-curricular activities are available?
  • What is the town like around the college?
