In October of their high school junior year your teen should:
- Take the PSAT
- Purchase a practice book on taking the SAT I.
- Preview a few college applications.
- Take a class or get a book on writing essays. Your teen will need to sharpen his/her skills in this area for college testing and scholarship applications.
- Continue to work on his/her goal sheet and action plan for his/her junior year grades. Use the daily planner to reassess his/her schedule.
- Continue to look for and research colleges, weighting each college’s the pros and cons.
