Coping with grief takes time and the understanding that it never truly goes away, but you can heal. The time it takes to get past the pain in grief for both parents who have lost their teen and teens who have a loss in their lives is easier to deal with when getting support from those who understand and can help you cope. In an effort to help, I have listed here some community website resources.
The site has many resources and local chapters in real life that can offer help. The mission of "The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive."

This site offers articles a list of chapters by state and a quarterly newsletter. "A national non-profit self-help group that offers support, understanding, compassion and hope especially to the newly bereaved be they bereaved parents grandparents nor siblings struggling to rebuild their lives after the death of their children, grandchildren or siblings."

Journey of Hearts(tm) was designed to be a Healing Place with resources and support to help those in the grief process following a loss or a significant life change.
Site has forums and many resources for parents and other family of child murder victims. Their vision statement: To provide support and assistance to all survivors of homicide victims while working to create a world free of murder. POMC makes the difference through on-going emotional support, education, prevention, advocacy and awareness.
