Talking to Your Teen About Sex

Previous Parenting Tip | Parenting Tip Index | Next Parenting Tip

There is no such thing as too much information when talking to your teenager about sex. Sex is not unhealthy or dirty. It is an act of love and bonding between two people. The act itself can be made to look unhealthy or dirty through inappropriate talk, actions, porn, etc. But know that when your teen has a question about sex or a sex act they are not asking because they have a dirty mind or are involved in unhealthy behavior. They are asking because they don’t know and they respect that you will give them the answer. So, be prepared to answer some embarrassing questions and do so with respect for your growing child.
