- Safety rules should be posted and enforced. Fun in the sun and splashing around the pool is great, but you don't need anyone to get hurt. If there is a problem, calmly pull the teen aside and talk to him/her.
- Beach towels, sun glasses make great party favors.
- Gather up some water and pool games to play.
- Beach music is a must and the Beach Boys are still the rave for this theme.
- For the decorations use some real sea shells and fish net. Drape them on the table and around the area for the party. Use bright colored table cloths and hanging strings of lights.
- Buy lots of blow up beach balls and float them in the pool.
- Set up beach towels around for conversation or laying out areas.
- Keep the bugs away by having citronella candles burning around the party area. You could also have bug spray available for your guests to use.
