• Decorate with vinyl record shapes.
• Have guests come dressed in cardigans, poodle skirts and leather jackets and greased up hair for the boys; ponytails for the girls.
• Serve ice cream sundaes in old fashioned soda fountain glasses. Root beer floats were popular too - and still just as yummy.
• Have a twist and limbo contest. Don't forget to pass out gum and have a bubble blowing contest as well.
• Make a record cake or cupcakes by ridging the icing in a circle.
