Fruity Macaroni Salad

Pasta Salad Recipes

Fruity macaroni salad is a colorful display pasta salad and it tastes great!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package dried medium elbow macaroni
  • 3 cups chopped cooked chicken or turkey (8 ounces)
  • 2 11-ounce cans mandarin orange sections, drained
  • 2 cup seedless red grapes or green grapes, halved
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup crushed walnuts(optional)
  • 1-1/2 to 2 cups & 2 tbsps buttermilk ranch salad dressing
  • 1 8-ounce can sliced water chestnuts, drained and slivered
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, rinse, and drain again very well.
  2. In a large bowl combine all ingredients except buttermilk dressing. Mix well.
  3. Stir in dressing and salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and chill overnight.
  5. Stir before serving and if more dressing is needed, add up to 2 tablespoons.
