Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- Sugar cookie dough
- Yellow food coloring
- Yellow sugar spinkles
Preparation:
I used a ready-made sugar cookie dough for my gold coin cookies. You can use your favorite sugar cookie recipe as well. Add four drops of yellow food coloring to start and knead the cookie dough until it is evenly yellow in color. If kneading has made your dough sticky, refrigerate for one hour.
Make one-inch balls. Place 12 on a cookie sheet, flatten slightly and sprinkle with yellow sugar sprinkles. Notch around the sides with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes.
