Project Ideas:
- Weigh some of your favorite objects - including yourself - then calculate how much they would weigh on the Moon.
- The Moon is 238,866 miles from the Earth. How many times would you have to walk around your science classroom to equal that distance?
- Show pictures on the Moon's craters. Explain where they came from. Explain why there has been no erosion. Does this explain why Neil Armstrong's footprints are still there?
- Explain who Neil Armstrong is.
- What is a lunar eclipse? When does it happen? Show how it happens using a scale model of the Earth and Moon.
- Make a model of the Lunar Prospector, which orbits the Moon.
