Limit the hours and the number of days that your teens works. Research has shown that 'adolescents with long work hours,[over 20 hours per week], show high levels of psychological distress including aggression, and low self esteem'1. Also, from personal experience, teens in my care have had much more success in obtaining the positives of working when they work 3 to 4 days a week as opposed to a job that is every day for two to three hours.
