Timeline for College
High School Schedule, Junior Year: March

By , About.com Guide

February | Jr Year Timeline Index | April

In March of their high school junior year your teen should:

  • Begin applying for summer jobs.
  • Purchase a book on money for college and begin researching financial aid including loans, scholarships and grants.
  • Continue to work on his/her goal sheet and action plan for his/her junior year grades. Use the daily planner to reassess his/her schedule.
  • Continue to be on the lookout for other colleges that may have slipped under his/her radar. Just because the list has been narrowed down does not mean it cannot be added to.
  • Continue to work on testing skills by using practice SAT I tests and writing essays.
