When first allowing your teenager to use the Internet, purchase software that will help keep them safe. Your teenager does not have to be looking for trouble to get into trouble on the Net. Blocking software that has an ‘url allowed list’ will not only work, but it will also give you peace of mind. If your teenager balks at this, ask them why. Reassure them that any site that is not dangerous can be put on their ‘allowed list’.
