Graduation Party Recipes: Chocolate Mints

Denise D. Witmer
Easy graduation mint party recipe to make for favors or as an after dinner mint. Part of our graduation party planner and our themed graduation party recipes list.
Prep Time: :30
Cook Time: :
Ingredients:
  • Colored candy melting wafers; school colors and white
  • Diploma and Hat Graduation Candy Mold 90-13514
  • Peppermint oil candy flavoring
Preparation:
For supplies I used one bowl per chocolate color, one spoon per chocolate color, a clean small kids paint brush(never used for paint), my freezer and my microwave.

Microwave the color you’ll be decorating the molds with. When the chocolate is smooth, use the paint brush to paint into the molds. I painted the ribbon on the diplomas and the hats yellow. Place the mold in the freezer until the chocolate is firm.

Melt the color you will be using to fill your mold. I used white for the diplomas and green for the hats, as that is the second school color for us. Using 30 wafers for each color I added 4 drops of peppermint oil candy flavoring. Fill the molds.

When firm, eat or use as favors by placing them in graduation treat bags tied off with curling ribbon.
