Science Fair Projects for Middle and High School

By , About.com Guide

Seventh planet from the Sun, it takes 84 years for Uranus to make one orbit. Uranus' summers are in perpetual sunlight, while the winters are wrapped in perpetual darkness, each season lasting 21 years.

Project Ideas:

  1. Build a scale model of our solar system.
  2. Explain the forces at work when the Uranus orbits the sun. What keeps it in place? Is it moving further away?
  3. Study pictures.
  4. What are the features of this planet? Could they support some kind of life? Why or why not?
