Replacing Contacts on Schedule

By Denise Witmer, About.com

If your teen wears contacts, you'll need to help him/her keep the replacement time organized. Even the mature teens will need you to check up on them in this area. The alternative could be an eye infection or worse.

The easiest way to keep this organized is to mark the family calendar on the day the contacts need to be changed for each pair of contacts that was given your teen. When marking for the last pair of contacts, mark that you need to call and make the next appointment with the eye doctor. When you get to a 'replace contacts date', give your teen their new contacts in the morning before they put their contacts in.
